Get going with Devloom.

The essentials, from your first sign-in to your first deploy.

Get started

  1. Request access with your email and a password you choose. An administrator approves it.
  2. Sign in. Your workspace starts, which takes a few seconds the first time.
  3. Clone a repository from the Agent view, or start in the empty folder, and ask Devloom-Agent for what you want.

Work with Devloom-Agent

The chat opens when your workspace does. In Act it makes changes; in Plan it discusses and plans without changing files (Tab switches). With auto-approve on (Shift+Tab), each file it writes opens as a diff. With it off, nothing is written until you choose Approve or Reject; commands that could change files are reviewed the same way, and read-only ones run unasked.

The Settings tab holds the mode, auto-approve, MCP servers, skills, rules, workflows, agents and hooks.

Run your app

Run in the title bar starts your project and opens it in Devloom Tester. It detects Spring Boot, Angular, Node.js, Python, Go and static sites, one or two folders down as well. To set the commands yourself, add a devloom.json to your project:

{ "run": "npm run dev", "build": "npm ci && npm run build", "start": "npm start", "port": 3000 }

Test an API

Put requests in a .http or .rest file and choose Send Request above each one. The api tester (globe) icon in the title bar lists every request in your workspace.

Use the database

Each workspace runs its own PostgreSQL 15, reachable only from inside the workspace. psql needs no arguments, and Devloom SQL lists it as Devloom PostgreSQL. Apps connect with:

postgresql://devloom@127.0.0.1:5432/devloom

Commit your work

Source Control has a checkbox on every changed file. A commit takes only the checked files, and unchecked files are neither committed nor pushed.

Deploy to your cloud

Deploy Service to Cloud in the title bar walks through four steps: cloud account, configure, review, deploy. It builds in your workspace and runs your app on Google Cloud Run, AWS ECS Express Mode or Alibaba Function Compute. Variables come from the form, pre-filled from your .env, which never goes in the image. Your app must listen on $PORT.

Migrate your database

Migrate Database to Cloud copies your workspace database to a new Cloud SQL or Amazon RDS instance, or to any PostgreSQL you already have, then compares every table's row count. On Alibaba Cloud, use an existing database.

Let the agent read your logs

In the Agent view, Connect Deployment Source adds Jenkins, AWS or Google Cloud credentials. The agent can then read builds and logs, read-only. Sources must be reachable from the internet.

Desktop and CLI

See Devloom Desktop and Devloom CLI for downloads and setup. Both use your Devloom account.

Limits

See Pricing for each plan's memory, storage and apps. Workspaces stop after 3 hours without a connection and start again at sign-in; sessions last 12 hours.
